This summer, Kaylee Machado — 11 years old, [a line the family wants to say about who she is] — began treatment for cancer. It came without warning, and it changed the shape of her family's days overnight.

Cynthia and Luke are doing what any parents would: pouring everything into Kaylee while still being there for her big sister Alexis (14) and little brother Jackson (6). That takes time, energy, and money that a family only has so much of. The appointments are many, the drives are long, and normal life still needs someone to hold it together.
